threadfin salmon lures

The most popular are the Jackall Mask-vibes (soft plastic sorta ones). Like you said, around $25-30

Also, small prawn plastics, like Gulp! 2" prawns and Atomic Prongs work well (apparently)

Just like to point out all that info is from what I've read on here and in many magazines. Still havn't got one myself, but havn't really tried too hard either :S

they are like casting and retreiving a brick

The kokoka looks interesting..

wonder how the large 1/4 switchblades would go?

or the 1/2 switch blades i think will work well , but all mine have been on live prawnsa, will target them on lures this year and will be tryin my mask vibs...

yeah no problem. I was reading this article about threading the prawns as bait but use more than 1 so they form a rack. It seems that the favoured live bait for Threadies are prawns and herring (also read that worms and crabs are also on their list). So next time I think I would like to create a 'rack of prawns' smorgosboard so that their 'threadfins' can pick up the bunch of prawns when they are scouring the bottom for a feed. I can feel it that I will nail a threadie very soon, like this week and I will cardle it like a baby for a photoshoot, then it will be off to the bbq for it or maybe fish soup. Yummo...

they might be heavy but they are the beast threadfin lure buy a mile. The Vib's are great and also the tn 60's, due to there large rattling it entices the thready into a strike.
