How much do you hate me ?

Hi YoYo and everyone else. As the organizer of this day out, I can tell you the target species is most definitely snapper! Great big, hard fighting snapper!

I spoke with John on Friday and he tells me the snapper are biting well. We may change target species throughout the day as we head to different locations off Stradie and Moreton.

See you there mate...

I was looking at seabreeze.

17 knots and seas between 2.6-2.8m is pretty bad. Also the way seabreeze generally goes its likely to blow a lot harder than 17knots. I am tipping 25knots plus. South passage is going to be a bitch with it being just after dead low and largeish swell.

Have a look at today's forecast. 11-15 knots all day. Ended up blowing 17-27knots. Its been like that all week. I think the problem with seabreeze is that the forecast is for the bay not outside.

You never know it could still come good by the weekend. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks dhess - I haven't spent much time offshore so that puts things in a better perspective.

Here's hoping it will come good but I'll be packing the Kwells regardless and so long as the swell doesn't knock the beer or rod from my hand I'll be happy!

Good thing about John is that he will usually let you have the last say on whether to go or not (if you are the organiser of the charter). He will give you advice and won't take you out if it is dangerous, but if it is going to be uncomfortable, I have always found that he will let you make the final call. If you do go, you should have a great day out.

Sorry to be the one to say it, but the forecast looks awfull. I doubt you will be going anywhere.

Where are you getting your forecast info from? According to http://www.seabreeze.com.au/graphs/qld.asp it doesn't look too bad? :S

i find sea breeze to get it wrong to often , i find the 1300 360428 bay report to be more spot on with wind and swell plus you can give it a call when your out there!!!

Pushed back to 24 may at present.... dont know if any spots available, someone was trying to flick 2 spots for todays trip, but not sure if they went to anyone and if the new date will suit the original 'owner' or not.....

Guess i will just have to push my goal of catching a big red on hold for 2 months.....:(

I'm consoling myself with beer :(

I had 3 spots reserved including myself straddiebrad. I'm definitely still on for the 24th but not sure about the 2 others that were coming with me. If they can't make the alternate date I'll let you know and you're welcome to pick one of em up.
