Marty and I had a fun little session, we set out to chase Jacks but ended up fishing a spot we have previously passed up.

In a 200m reach of water we bagged numerous species. Jew, Flathead, Tailor, Bream, Squire ans saw some 2 foot Trumpet Fish and a thumper Trev that was really not interested.

Long story short, I put a cast into a bust up and was hit by a Tailor, dropped it only to have it hit me again. Well the 6lbs leader didnt last, off swims $30 worth of Dog x Jr.

More pissed about loosing the lure than the fish we continued on.

A half hour passes and in the distance Hawk Eye Sherlock Marty spots my Dog x on the surface. Thanks mateB)

Any other stories of lost and found.

I seem to loose way more than I ever get back.

On a side note, the owner of the 2 sets og Gangs and 40 lbd leader:unsure: we got from the Tailor, they too can be picked up from Palm Beach if you want them back

i lost a 6500 shimano baitrunner not that long ago, loaded with 30 lb tuffline, bloody brand new too, bought on the way to the ramp. i swear i put it on the rod, but could of left it on the boot of the car in my haste to go for a fish, ahh well, ya get that.

a mate stan cruised down to colmslie late 1 arvo to try out his new rod n reel, that he bought on the way, while i was cast netting, stan's chatting away to some stranger, yep, over it goes. a brand new 2500 capricorn reel loaded with braid, and a smiths rod, gone. not even an hour old. we had a laugh about it, while still casting 20 mins later i drag up the tip of a rod, yep it's stans, so he gets it untangled from the net, reels in slowly. i swear these were his words. i'm still on, a threadie over a mtr long, the reel was quickly pulled apart, and you would never know it's shady past.

And where are the pics!

I have seen a lure lost to a fish and then I caught a cod later with his lure in its mouth as well. Lucky day for simmo!

ha ha, Marty came with his camera case no camera inside and I left mine on the charger. No real size to anything.

yeah, I showed the empty camera case to the wife when I got home and she innocently says "so where is the camera" - all I thought was lucky we didn't land any Jacks as we may have needed marriage counselling :)
