well im back from my fishing trip on moreton island. Its the first time ive actually been there and i didnt realise our beautiful the island is, its hard to believe that your only a stones throw away from brisbane. anyway enough about that

we camped at the wrecks and most of the fishing was done around in this area, i caught my first flattie on a sp so i was delighted with that not a bad fish either around 53cm also caught some tarwine and bream but apart from that the fish werent interested.

On Thursday night a couple of guys who were camping next to us were fishing off the rocks near the light house and caught 13 snapper!! 3 of them were over 6kg and they gave us one for dinner so that was awesome. Cant wait till im on holidays again i'll defiently be going back.

yeah they were top blokes, they gave me some tips how to use my sp's because ive had no luck whith them at all,withen 15min after they gave me some tips i caught that flattie and a few small bream.

Thats what fishing is all about, catching a few fish, making a few new nates, sounds like a top trip!
