need knowledge for weekend

Thinking of fishing this weekend around Redcliffe area. I'm new to the sport and I'm just looking to fish off land/sandflats/etc. Was wondering if anyone has any tips of where to go, what bait to use and the best time to go????

Hey Phoenix,

I only know Redcliffe a little.

But the Hornibrook highway can produce.

Its hit and miss, however try either Pastics or Worms (blood or sand) over the banks for flathead and whiting respectively.

Or walk further long until you get the channel and use bait fish. I like whitebait, but pillies work as well. You have a chance at good bream, flathead, taylor and trevally here.
