THATS sooooo sweet haha madsh*t i got a dam at my house to and reckon it would b sweet if i could put fish in it how long have they been there ... did u stock it?? ... we put heaps of fish in ours a while ago about 2 yrs now and tried to flick a lure in it for a bit of fun and got nothin .. that was a month ago... i reckon pirds might have eaten them??

Tom have not and wouldnt stock barra for lots of reasons

Shane i dug the dam 2002 it got filled that year jan 2003 i stocked it with shrimp and gudgeons and a lot of water plants at the end of the 2003 in put about 100 bass and 100 silvers

I have put about 250 more fish in till now.

PS i made a big mistake with the type of plants thats something you really need to research

wow this is great i haav been trying to convince my dad to let me put some golden pearch finglings in our dam and these photos hav pretty much convinced him that it would be ok. would you have any tips for me when i put them in

Have a look here, he has some good info on stocking dams and the various fish available. They will also sell you fingerlings

:laugh: had a dam once in jimboomba..filled it with silvers and bass. one arvo came home to see a group of shags on the dam the next day a pelican..didn't catch many fish after that :S dunno what happened to the fish

Even a poorly trained one really... As long as it chases small animals. Which most poorly trained dogs will do anyway!!!!
