I go fishing a couple times a week, and im always tryin to find new tricks. I always find live or frozen bait work the best. Ive used soft lures a few times but they just havnt worked for me. I have way tomany of them and i should really use them more. What am i doing wrong, where and how do i use them?

soft plastics usually involve a stiff flicky rod, braid and a leader with a jigg head and a plastic.

what fish are you targeting??

Is the main question...

some methods can target quite a few species this time of year

just name some fish that you targeting

I'm happy to fill you in on what I know of river/estuary.

My only soft plastic Jew was on a 2inch gulp shrimp, 1/4 jighead went 52cm. On my baitcaster and 60lb leader targeting them though, they were not hooking up well on the bigger plastics so i downsized. Brisbane river would be the easiest local place to catch one, and even easier by boat.
