Went out of the seaway yesterday to the reefs. Was hoping for snapper and pearl perch. started at the 36's between us we caught 3 snapper. Tried drifting the 40's in the hope of snapper but no luck. Headed back to the 24's got bag limit on teraglin jew which wasn't really what we were hoping for. All up got a few fish in the end but the snapper and pearlies didn't seem to show up. Maybie try sunshine coast next time

Nothing wrong with some trag jew. What was the current like on the deeper reefs?

The current was pretty strong out wide. Had pound lead on and that was just heavy enough. Could have even gone bit heavier. Had to put the shute out the slow the boat down.

Hopefully it will slow down very soon and we will be able to get stuck into the pearlies.
