Lake Cooroibah

Just Wondering what the fishing is like at Lake Cooriobah in Tewantin at the Sunshine Coast?? Whats the go and best things to use i.e. soft plastics, bait, lures.

its pretty shallow..can walk almost across the whole lake..havent fished there in 10 yrs but back then got flathead, bream and sole..all on bait back then.

heard stories bout jacks being in there but buggers me where

Jimmy is right, it's really shallow but during the warmer months it's a great spot for Queenies.

When they talk about fishing lake cooroibah, generally the locals include the river at each end and the mangroves surrounding the deep channel at each end.

Most fishing is done near the edges of the channel and fishing has improved in the last few years as there is less tourist everglades buses running up and down everyday, twice a day.

You can also target the bullies and jacks near johns landing camping area just above lake cooroibah. But this is getting pretty close to the fresh water/tidal mixing area and can be a bit hit or miss.
