Hey everyone. Just a reminder to get in quick if you need a boat.

Based on the early response I have recived and a few emails and facebook messages from people working out who they are going with, I think the Sports Tuition fleet will be booked very quickly.

Cheers.

Is there anyone who needs a deckie for the weekend.

I wouldn't take one on my own, and would be happy to help out.

Have all my own gear and an experienced camper :)

Mooks.

Hey Mooks. You would not need to take one on your own. With the hired boats there are always spare seats etc and I do my best to fill them all up. So if you register you will certainly not be like in a boat by yourself!

Its a very social weekend with a lot of good people attending.

Cheers.

and its not really camping, if its at the same site at Hinze as the last overnighter, you're in a cabin with bunks and stuff and there are facilities to cater for everything else. If you've never fished this type, I'm sure Gus will put you in with someone with the experience.

For anyone doing this... if Steve is nice enough to do it again... I'd take the opportunity to get on the water at sunrise on the Sunday. Its beautiful.

As Do$tylz said, as far as camping goes this is luxury :)

I have had a few PM's so just to clarify:

THis event is fully catered!

All you need to bring really is clothes, sleeping bag, pillow, drinkies and yourselves!!

Cheers.

hey Angus, when is the cut off registering on this one?

Rod pending there being boats avaiable as late as possible, even the day before.

You know what Steves like, fairly laid back. But he does like some idea for catering reasons. 1 or 2 extras will usually not blow this though as it often a little over catered but yeah, you know what I mean.

Hope to see you there mate! And Kath! As you can its hardly a female dominated event!!!

That's been Photoshoped!

I wasn't wearing a blue shirt! You also took out my huge cod and the background is all wrong - we were at Roma Street Parklands so there should be 4 other guys fishing in the background.

Good to hear Poly's aboard, we haven't seen you since last Winter Camp, don't bring any damn bananas though.

So Gus how may does that make its turning out to be THE event of winter (we just have to keep the undesirables out - I don't want to mention names but we don't have any feline accountants joining in do we?)

Welcome aboard Booty!

Hope you dont mind being on board the floating bar!

Atleast I will feel at home serving drinks, more than I will be fresh water fishing!

Can someone post me 6 'sure fire' lures to buy and bring, and what does one need to fish with shrimp?

All sounds too hard, I think I will just drink!

hahah we should motor out deep and see how long it takes booty to swimm back after repeating the words "dont taze me bro" constantly hahahha

I spent 5 minutes today reading through the report from last years winter camp, if this trip is a 1/5th of last year we will have a ball and it will be up their as one of the best weekends this year.

2 more sleeps! I am so ready for this. The last week has crawled along, so much so that I will have to take tomorrow off and head out for some last minute lure and beer shopping. After last years effort that saw me taking out a prize for the most embarrassingly small bass as well as ending up on my arse after a few too many lemonades on the first night - I have a lot to live down. I've been in training, this year I hope to keep vertical while drinking and I need to catch the second smallest bass (there's no need to overdo things).

For Hinze, stick with bait, Steve will show you the rig. Whilst lures have been successful of late, Hinze is still by far a lot easier on bait. (Once upon a time you couldn't give a lure away there, but now they will take em, occassionally ;) ) If you must use some lures, get on to Zimman and arrange for him to bring some of the lipless cranks Ray and Dino have been using at NPD for you.
