queensland seaway today

Hit the seaway up this morning, northside of the wall, lost count of how many banito we caught and released by throwing slugs at them, plus a small spotted mac, and a little golden trevalley. had a blast on 6lb braid with 10lb leader bending my loomis right over lol

then threw some plastics for a couple flatties on the flats for a little while but no luck , stupid toad fish ruined a few of my plastics hundreds of the buggers following it up

haven't seen or heard of anyone catching bonito this way, are they schooling up near the spit as well?

Toads are hell on plastics. you have to work them so fast to avoid the damn things and it doesn't allow a good fish to touch it!

nah they wernt near the spit , we had a little look round there nothing was happenin

also got a few the other day right inside ........ they were cornering the bait up against this little cove , site casting at them

on the straddie side of the break wall and infront of it and little further out they were pretty much everywhere

Was up the top of South Straddie and heard the report saying that the seaway was calm.

I chased flatties all day on plastic for not much at all....
