Anglers,

Preliminary conditions look awesome for this wknd in the bay on sat (wind wise). Im towing my boat over to nrth strad and will be looking to target the rous channel on sat arv/evening.

Im looking at fishing with light gear and squire are the target species (doesn't really matter though). Does anyone have marks I could use to find some ledges in the rous channel or other structure where the fishing is good. Any help on techniques and positions (tide times to fish etc) would be much appreciated.

Cheers

The Rainbow Channel runs along Straddie from Peel island, and the Rous runs from the entrance east of Green to join up with the Rainbow.

Some good fishing in both locations check out google earth or you marine chart.

Some nice little gutters running into the rainbow from the north that I have had plenty of flathead out of.
