8-12kg rod for saragosa 8000? does it work?

i have an 8-12kg 7' and am looking to get a saragosa for it. should i go 6000 or 8000.

Depends on the rod but yeah 6000.

I use a 5000 sradic on a 7' 8-12 kg rod. and it feels just right.

the rod is 7ft. ive decided on the 6000 but now i need advice on what line weight. any help? thanks

What are you using it for and where? Jigging, offshore soft plastics, slug chucking etc?

yeah if its a short rod like 5"6-6" go the 8000 but longer rod go the 6000. 50lb braid is most likely your best bet maybe go tuf line xp, great braid

same reel just different spool size, i have the 8000 on a t curve 2-3pe spooled with 30lb braid i have squeezed 300mtrs on it, i even think the 8000 is slightly lighter then the 6000 . i think it is a very balanced outfit!

yeah the 8000 would be lighter as it would have been machined more . i actually believe you should go the 8000, its lighter, holds more line and can run heavier braid.
