iluka plastics

hey guys,

just a quick question, what sort of plastics would work well around iluka for snapper, jewfish and red rock cod. me and some mates are head there on the 5th of July till Friday the 10th, just wanted to know what would work around that area. would be doing some rock fishing and fishing the Clarance river i think. also is it possible to get tailor on poppers there regularly?

i believe 'dizzys' tackle is close to iluka so ill give him a call when we head down.

how good fighting are the red rock cod, am keen to catch one.?

sorry to disappoint ya hampster but they fight like a plastic bag and only inhabit the offshore reefs .....

you may get one if ya head offshore ... ohh yeah they cook up a treat but beware of the spines ... ouch !!

ha ha ha i think someone has been pulling your leg mate

red rock cod dont fight they just come up with thier big gob open

its like reeling in a bucket of water

as for plastics get gulp jerkshads in 5",7" and nine inch with appropriate size jig heads

1/4oz, 1/2oz 3/4oz

Mate, Im pretty sure dizzys tackle shop closed down a while ago.

The tackle shop I know of down there is Big river Bait and tackle which is in Maclean. Im pretty sure anyway.
