steering hard

hey guys my mate brought a 5meter quintrex tinnie forward control with a 60hp new and the steering is realy stiff to turn has any body got any thoughts on what would cause this he has tried to ajust somthing on the motor dont know what they call it its down near the sharft with a bolt in it but that did nothing.brad

I had similar prob years ago, turned out they did not carry out the whole pre del service they were in to much of a hurry, I would not muck about with it just take it back and get them to fix it

he will do this on the first service just thought it might have been somthing small,thanks for your thoughts dinodadog.

with cable steering if they make to many right angle turns with the cable before it gets to the motor it gets really stiff. i'd take ti staight back to the dealer as well
