I've got a large yo-zuri trolling lure, looks the good havent run it yet will do later in the year. Only given it a quick go through the pool and it looks outstanding with a nice shine to it and a tight action(hopefully will lose all the paint hhaha).

I haven't used many. I've got two in my bass box at the moment. A 3D minnow jerkbait which is a great little lure that has caught bass in the shallows at North Pine Dam and flathead and bream in the rivers up the coast.

I've got some Yo zuri livebaits which I thought would clean up on deepwater bass but I never got a hit on any of them..pretty much given up on those ones. ( Not much action in them )

They are beautifully finished and use holographic prism colouring which looks fantastic in the water. I like how they have the colour under the heavy clear finish. They'll look good for ages.

I'm looking for the deep crank baits they have, they look really shmick.

50 dollars isnt cheap halco rooster poppers are around 15 and they operate really well

it is in the world of popper fishing mate. Hammerhead poppers are 165$ withouth any split rings or trebles. below that is the nomad lures like the dogtooths and uluas which will usually cost you 80$ with no terminal tackle. theres also chris youngs full scale kongs which are about 150$ with no terminals.

ask any gt fisherman and they will tell u the yozuri poppers are considered cheap in the popping world.

still an expensive lure but not in compared to the popper range.

they dont work anywhere near aswell as say hammerheads or nomads, especially halco roosta poppers, sure a proven fish catcher and I like these lures but are not even comparable to the upper market as the splash they provide. also lures such as halco roostas are very hard to work in anything more than mild chop as the cup face is very small which makes the lure skip when its rough.

also forgot to mention that the wiring in the cheaper poppers is pretty much non existent compared to lures such as hammerheads, full scales, ebipops, conocono's, cuberas and uluas (whole nomad range).

when gt fishing the cheaper models will be compromised by just one fish when the more expensive stronger models will last alot longer

yeh mate was looking at one today, havnt used one yet though. I've heard they are a decent popper that throws out a fair bit of splash. also has a 300lb in built split rings which look good but cant really say without testing them. best affordable popper I have owned is the R2S dumbell pop 150, they are a great lure come with owner st66 2/0s and the only thing i do when i get one is upggrade to 200lb decoy split rings, except if i run a baker rig (2 owner sj41's tied together and single of the back usually owner jobu). the r2s throws heaps of splash and works quite well in rough conditions

anyone got any thoughts/opinions on Yo-Zuri HB Lures ?

Anyone got any faves that are Yo-Zuri's ?

Yo-Zuris are some of the best medium priced lures out there IMHO. the whole Hardcore range is awesome - Angus can attest to that, I sold him just about every colour and lure in the Hardcore range and they've caught him just about every fish that he's ever targeted as well. I highly recommend the SH-50 and 65s. The LB-90s are excellent for barra fishing as well. love the perfect suspending action you can still get even if you're ripping the lure along.

I love their Hydro Poppers and Surface Cruisers - they're my staples for my offshore popping. best performance:price ratio in the market IMHO. The Bonita is also another staple lure for my offshore fishing as well - best high speed trolling lure I've used in terms of reliability and durability.

The 3D range is not too bad, but i dont really like the hooks on those. I like the Stoop range alot - especially the 50mm version and the SW version. crazy action at a unbeatable price.

The new Eba Poppers are not too bad as well. The SW ready hooks just about own every other popper on the market.

The new foam cranks are working very well for me as well. I'm finding the foam pencils pretty good for shy fish or when fishing in clear waters with spooky fish.

Yeah the SH50's are awesome lures. I have nearly run out! I heard they dont make them anymore?

The larger SH models are great as well but I really have not given them a fair crack.

They are sitting there waiting to be used though!

Angus
