i meant to say as i go faster i lose any images just get clutter any thoughts on why this happens

Do you mean sounder? Pretty sure you wouldn't mount your GPS receiver underwater

Try putting it further down into the water this might get rid of air bubbles which is likely to be the problem.

Having said that mine does the same if the water is not really smooth

mine is set level and plumb with the hull and is set half way above the transom and half under i have no probs at all speeds

loosen the fastening bolt and drop it down 1 click, boat test, if better do it again, but you probably need a cover for it them, just to keep spray off the motor. as it's an easy thing to do, don't go out of your way to try this.

mate iam pretty sure that mine is vissable when driving along as it spews up water like a rooster tail.brad

By the looks of the first pic you still have adjustment down about 10mm i reckon. Loosen the bolts push transducer down and test.

drop the back of the transducer down.

i find the spray is bad if its half in the water at full pace, i tilt mine slightly more down and the whole transducer is under water on the plane get a spray off the stem but no where near as bad as when its half in the water at pace. i have an eagle sounder which has a different shape transducer to the humminbird .

also noted the transducer is not level, sits on a slight angle with the hull????

transducer should sit vertical on the transom yours is a bit out buy the looks
