Brooms Head ?

Can anyone help with fishing Brooms Head?

We just won a 2 night stay down there,Is it woth taking the tinnie only a small one

Been a while since I have been down there but definitely worth taking the tinnie. I never stayed/fished at Brooms Head but always stayed at Sandon River. This is the closest boat ramp to Brooms (about 10km drive south on a graded dirt road (easily 2 wheel drive). The only boat launching at Brooms is off the beach (4 wheel drive, and only in small surf).

Sandon RIver is very fishy with all the usual bread and butter species - very clean river. The bar is crossable in reasonable conditions.

Beware of speed limits and marine parks in the upper reaches of Sandon.
