queensland Fishing times at mouth

I am heading out at the end of the week to hit the pipeline at the mouth of the river and hopefully hook into a nice threadie.

Are these fish more active at a particular time or will they feed whenever they are around? I am hoping to be on the water with first cast around 5.30am but figured to try and target some squire as the day breaks then move to the pipe.

Has anyone found the strike rate to be better at certain times over others?

Not to sure of the weight but caught him straight out from the the water police and tugs in the river at the big marker beacon on the left.

Got him on the run in tide throwing into the beacon.
