queensland old rusty barge anchored near pinkebar

Was out cruising for new spots to try and beat my nil score for the brissie rivver and came across an old rusty crane barge.

Any one had any luck around this area or suggestions on baits / rigs?

I've dropped a decent flatty there, and had a mate drop a good threadie.

It's only worth a look at high tide, but if you get livies it can produce. Just not real deep there tho.

is ok.. for tailor on top of the tide with fresh bait

On the run out tide there are flatty, I fish there at times but have had no luck lately.

When the prawns are running it is a prime area for cast netting and the it fishes well at these times.

Few sharks and rays around there too.

The barge has moved though and it now faces into the sand bar, but cast out and to the right.

Its not a great fishing spot but definitely some good fun to be had at the right tide.

havent fished there properly myself but its worth a shot at the top of the tide. mudflats are mudflats and you could run into anything with a bit of luck
