Moreton island, 4th-6th Sept

Just got back from Moreton and Im knackered. Gonna make this short as there's not much fish to report.

Got over there with the family and friends, made our way across and up to yellow patch. Only got bogged twice! Set up camp and went for a quick fish before dinner. No winners there unforetunetly. The next day started dismally, rainy and cold! But the sun came out later on and i finally got my fish, a 20 cm bream. Nothing for a while then a small trevally, on about 25cm or so, but great fun on light gear.

Went to throw some lures off the rocks, but nothing coming of it.

Next day got a nice flattie, about 46cms.

Unforetunetly, whislt the Island and waters were beautiful, the effect from the oil spill can still be felt. Around the rocks, where u can usually see heaps and heaps of bream, there was nothing. Even along the gutters and coffee rocks, nothing.

Not a great weekend for fishing, but was awesome for camping and chilling out.

Photos will follow, but not many. The camera died on the first night!

cheers,

Ash
