Just picked up a tip on identification of mullet species from a very reliable source ...

Diamond scaled mullet ... well the name says it all ... very visible diamond like patterns on scales ...

Sea mullet ... well apart from a bigger head as described in some websites ... i was told that the sea mullet has some sort of eyelids ... if you run your finger on its eyes and you can see its eyelids then its a sea mullet :)
