What a turn out!

SO much for a quiet nights fishing I ended doing A LOT more talking than fishing. There would have been easily 15 or so AFO members down there last night, never all at once but still great to see. Good to meet some new faces.

Fishing was quiet for me. I few lazy hits and prawns worse for wear but nothing solid.

Mooky was the lucky one for the night with a good little school jew of about (correct me if im wrong) 57cm...

Darcy also netted up a good sized (40cmish) Luderick in his cast net which was cool.

I left while there was still a few people there so there may be more to report.

I dont have any picture sorry but im sure a few people will chuck some up.

Cheers

Angus I thought you were claiming half the fight with the Jewie?

No luck for me on servo Pillies not even a nibble, infact they probably scared off all fish in the area with their horrid smell.

Hahaha. Nar, ill "let" Mooks have it. :P

Mate as I said last night, dont be shy next time to ask for net demo or pinch a few live prawns.

The live bait scenario always differs, but the prawns were the one thing we were not short of last night.

Hey you were the first one to jump down onto the rocks, with my net.

Even after I suggested someone else with shoes on!!

I dont know that stupidity should be rewarded - but like they say with dog training,

"Positive re-enfocement is best"

So well done Angus - for not cutting up your feet, and landing my fish!

Couldnt have done it without you.

Jeez Mooks, you sure has the nack for catching the good fish at afo gigs! well done.

were you using your lucky reel?

Not your lucky reel Rocket,

but was my wintercomp prize Ghost surecatch SP combo. :P

should have heard the drag wizzing, I think 5 people jumped up hoping it was theirs.

kept the drag pretty light, didnt want to burn it out on 1 big fish,

no way I could have lifted it in though, had the tip bent pretty far trying to coax into the net.
