queensland Fish chasing my sp at boggy creek

I was down at boggy this morning, landbased, I was throwing out a sp grub.

As I retreived it I felt these small taps, like small bites or like the fish was hitting the sp.

This happened a few times then the fish's back broke the surface,it was a good size (between 60 to 70cm) and all I can say is it looked like a thick sort of fish with a smoothish back, If I did not know better I would say it was a Mack tuna, but I did not see any tell tale dorsal fins.

But it was nibbling in a very finnicky way for a fish of its size.

Any ideas.

did you get a look at the tail at all

based on the tuna look alike, and nibbling, maybe a big mullet?

I didn't want to sound stupid but it did resemble an Australian Salmon, didn't glimpse the tail.

I think it may have well being a big mullet.

I never though of that but I guess they do chase an sp now and then.
