queensland Sandpumping jetty last night

Hey guys

Headed down to the spit last night for a few hours to fish the sand pumping jetty.

Managed to catch this nice tailor on a big Pilchard, went 35cm, my pb

Hopefully head back again this weekend to try my luck.

nice fish dan i have fished the jetty a bit and found my bait disappearing with out bites so i would cast out and put the reel in gear as it was about to hit the water and wind in the slack the tailor were hiting the baits as soon as the bait touched the water

in the end i would out fish anyone not doing this

nice one dan!! hey mate it has been years since i fished the sand pumping jetty do ya still have to pay to fish off it? Does it have a gate at the end of it and is there a time you have to be off the jetty?

Yea mate you have to pay to get on. I'm not sure of theres a time to get off, i dont think there is, but i might be wrong?

Nice Tailor there Dan. That sand pumping Jetty is great for night time fishing.

As its been said night on the jetty can be fruitful. I caught a 6.5kg jewwy there a few years back plenty of good tailor. theres no time to be off the jetty, we used to get there in mid to late arvo and leave it just before sunrise the next day. Good times.
