Perfect Yak weather

Feral

Recommended Posts

Well the tides and the weather finally lined up for a decent shot at a bit of yaking on the Caboolture river.

Launched at 5:30am, after a snooze in (getting old), off the water by 9am. I managed to do about 10k all up for a nice little bit of exercise. Got to seriously start building the paddle fitness for Monduran in 3 weeks! google_clean.jpg

Bigtez, I was lined up for the south pine, but Mrs wanted me home by 9:30, so I could not afford the half hour each way traveling, would have used up to much paddle time!(Particularly after sleeping in!)

You went right up where I was thinking of going to! Lovely river isn't it!

Certaimly is. Up around the 2 bridges there was plenty of fish life too. Lots of bait movement and I managed a couple of small chopper tailor. Further down towards the ramp was still pretty dirty from the last lot of rain we had earlier in the week. Next time i will be taking the little yak and go up a bit further. I wasn't sure if I would be able to turn around if i went much further in the 160, so i headed back.
