nah mate nothing much to add here youve done a great job!

only thing i can mention was the actual amount of hook ups!

if we landed all fish we hooked we would have had about 40 ea but we lost allot because they were fighting hard and we had our drags sett hard because of the snaggs!

cheers Ian.

C,mon you guys. Thats not cool to fish in a restricted area!!!! You are not allowed to fish 120m below that weir!!! The bass cannot migrate back over unless there is significant rain, therefore of course they are there in numbers. If you want to help them out release them on the upper side of the weir. :woohoo:

But if you keep fishing there you might want to check over your shoulder for DPI as you will get fined. Check DPI website for yourself.

take a look at the first pic and you can see the fish runn im leaning my back on!

it is there to lett the fish head upstream any time they want!

it was running at 120mm deep witch is plenty for them to power up the runn!

so i wouldnt say they are trapped in any way imo!

i will get on the dpi site and check the info for myself!

we dont fish protected zones if we know about them!

cheers Ian.

You realise your shrimp trap was full of shrimp before the bass got in there :pinch:  Numbers are a reminder of the NPD reports from a few years ago. Good session !

Enjoyfish, sometimes people aren't aware of the rules until pointed out. Maybe a little less agressive next time ;)

Sorry Ellicat, I dont mean to be out of line. I guess been a 'green nose' and a knocker is interesting when Im only trying to draw peoples attention to rules in place.

Gazza just because one doesnt post allot doesnt mean one doesnt read allot.

Feral -great news about the weir to be removed. I know in Casino NSW they remove one, great for the bass of the future.

Mookysticks is correct

Most wiers upstream of brackish water have a closure to protect bass as do most dams the very few that dont will have soon

bass cannot use the fishway they go around in high flows

the unforunate thing is these closures are ignored by many as are possession limits and closed seasons

This spot gets flogged by these people until there are virtualy no bass every year despite regulations as do all terminal aggregation points(my definition as it is literaly the end of the line and and usually terminal)

Cool... so it just looks like a bit of un-known knowledge.

I'm sure Gaz and Ian are pretty happy to not fish there now that they know its restricted.

But yeah... as Ellicat said.. I think a bit of tact around informing people of information would have been a nicer way to approach it. Nothing wrong with telling people they're doing illegal stuff.... just gotta be aware of the delivery :) and we can all live in harmony :P:D

To be Honest the only Knowledge I have is it is the Albert river near Tamborine until 2 weeks ago never knew it existed :woohoo: Rummy in his defense I asked him where are we fishing answer The Albert river that's all he knew :woohoo:

With no signage and every other angler @ least 4 sometimes 7 within 10 mt's of each other

What would you do I'd say M8 that looks fishy lets wet a line :woohoo: :woohoo:

and just on a foot note not that It will :P If anyone breaches any regs

Please and this goes for all send a pm and let that person redeem them selve's :)

end of story for me Now :woohoo:

Now did you like my report lmao :woohoo: :P

Gaz

It's a great escape when the weather's crap but Blue water can't be beat :silly: :woohoo:

It is an unfortunate fact of life that some people do vandalise or remove signs that they do not agree with and others suffer the consequences when they unwittenly break the law.

In this case there is a website that you can check but where is there a list of jetties and walkways that fishing is not allowed from.

Cheers

Ray

For what it's worth from another 'green nose', I thought Gazza was the one being over aggressive in what he was writing, not Enjoyfish1. And Enjoyfish was right, Gazza was wrong, so he should cop the so called critisim on the chin and appologise for doing the wrong thing. But instead he got all personal with Enjoyfish and just bagged him out to cover up his own wrong doing. For shame.

At least he's chuckin the fish back in, which is excellent.
