thousandyards
has anyone fished off the new deck over the rocks at brekky creek? it's just across from the BP.....about 100m from the mouth.... anyone had any luck?
sehrguht
You would need a brick to stay weighted down there/ and retrieving any large fish up onto the platform would be annoying. maybe on an incoming tide you might find some bream there
thriller
I have fished that area from the rock platform towards racecourse rd. Seems like a healthy spot. lots of snags and a few nasty rock ledges to rub you off when you do hook something decent.. Still an average dedicated fishing land based location is better than none.. 1m + fork tailed catfish caught on that stretch I hear
kiara_poltegerist
got some small squire there last week. nothing to brag about. 25-30cm models.

thriller
Not a fan of eating Large Fork tailed catfish.. I don't mind the occasional 75cm 2-3yo specimen. Pretty darn hard to land fish like that with all the sunken rock to cut you off...
fishing_hardcore
Im heading over that way soon, just need to get out for some fresh air. Tide is not so great but I will just be testing a few placcies and HB, I might even take the cast net and use a few small fresh strip baits. I'll be the guy tragically whipping a GLoomis rod in the air as I lose yet another rigg to the snaggs.... cheers
