Never caught this before until yesterday. It was caught on a float with worm.

i have caught them anywhere for 5 cm to 25 cm

Yeah mate Spangles Pearch. I have caught one that was as big as the lure it took. Good fun on really light gear. Look good in the tank too.

According to an old bloke fishing at Tingalpa, as good to eat as whiting.

If your catching them cast out into the deeper water, they will go through your bait super quick

a mate gave us some banded(barbed ) grunter's and spangles .

some in the fish tank some in the turtle tank.

the grunter's are all ready dead ,me and the kids watched the turtles eat /attack them Sunday .

the spangles are in the tank with mic jaguar .they seam to be doing ok .

there a bit smaller and faster than mic .so they get away.

when u get them this size they are great fun on light gear
