KITE FISHING - Has anyone had a go?

Was doing a bit of surfing the net last night and came across KITE Fishing, I have heard about this style of fishing before when I was a youngen but have never seen it done.

Has anyone had a go at this style of fishing?

ive tried fishing for kites, the problem ive found is im placing my bait in the water and the kites are usually in the air.

I am pretty sure this was discussed a while ago on here along with remote boats to send out long lines which are then pulled in with PTO whiches off a 4wd.

NZ rings a bell with me for it happening.
