jigging braid vs plain braid, any difference?

hey all

just noticed some nice 8 strand japanese jigging braid for sale and was wondering if there is any significant difference, apart from colour changes to signify depth... does it affect castability, etc?

I say yes it does affect castability. THe only normal braid that I find comparable is the castaway 8 strand.

the 2 brands of jigging braid i've used soak up water alot more than 'conventional' braids which tend to have a coating so be careful, if you're using it on a BC this isn't the best of things to happen.

as for casting, no issues

will be using it to cast for tuna and macs and dropping octo jigs and deep sp's for snaps, pearlies, kingies (hopefully) on a sustain 5000
