island off wellie point ?

There's a small island/land mass off wellington point, inbetween the point and st helena....does nayone know what it's called and if it is a green zone ?

It's King Island. It isn't in a green zone. Produces lots of whiting from the sandbar. Usually any tide higher than 1.8m will swamp the sandbar if you wish to journey out there without a boat.

ahh good, i could do with a bag of whiting and some flatties...

i haven't fished down there for years .

but i reckon a over night camp out on the island and fishing would be sweet ,down there.

also i reckon the jetty at wello would be a ok squiding spot .tide and wind depending.

one of my regular yakking spots yoyo. If you head out through the markers from the boat ramp and turn left towards King, you can troll along the drop off for all sorts of reef species and with the warm weather a few pelagics too. I found sunrise the best, before all the boat traffic kicks off and shuts the fishing down.
