shorncliffe fishing

hi all

just wondering if any one can give me some info about fishing near shorncliffe, once you go out through the markers near the volunteer marine rescue how far is it till you find deep water. i am looking at catching some snapper etc and want to know how far it is from here till we find deep water to catch some.

about 35 km to straddy thats where youll find the first deep water 15m plus

the area around shorncliff is very shallow if you go over to woody point thats the closest ive heard of snapper being caught its still shallow maybe 3/4 metres but at least theres some rock there to attract them

there is however cod ,flattys ,bream ,jew and shark in cabbage tree creek

if you look at a navigation chart itll show you how shallow most of the bay is
