Tinnie Movers??

So i was thinking of getting a pair of tinnie movers for my 12ft punt.

Has anyone used these before...are they any good?

Any advice would be helpful!

how far to u plan to move it ?

i reckon that makes a big difference on how useful they are.

Was having a look at them myself yesterday. Will be interested on the answers in relation to functionality. They look the goods, and would make putting the boat in a river down a narrow steep windy track a lot easier than reversing a trailer.

Just for moving it from the back of the ute to the river/dam, and around the house :-)

There good if u dont have to move the boat to far or put undue pressure on them, i launched mine maybe 200 times and had to move the boat about 20m from the house to the water, but ended up cracking the bits that clamp onto the gunnels, the last few meters of soft sand added more pressure to the rolling..they looked identical to that but may of been a diff brand was a couple yrs ago

i haven't had them ,but talked with a few peeps who have had them just for that.

move it around the house and from the ute to the river bank.

they reckon they are ok for that.

the soft sand would have loaded them up a lot more. bris boy.

and the top or bottom cracking is nothing a welder and some plating wouldn't fix .

The best thing that i have found to move my punt around is one of those $30 trollys from Super Cheap. just put that under the boat and drag it around.

it use to works great for my old boat.

I have seen these coupled with a light weight A frame thing that hooks through the tow eye at the front and secure over the front deck. The other end attaches to your towball and presto you have an instant trailer for your tinny. Pretty much totally illegal but will get your around a caravan park with intergrated ramp, down a bank of a dam etc.
