Land Based Spots Northside.

Hey guys, Ive got a bit of time off now that my work has cut hours by hiring too many xmas casuals and that uni has ended so Ive been taking the dog and going fishing most arvos.

Im based at Nudgee so Im looking for some particularly good spots around to wet a line on an arvo, pull up a chair and have a cool drink and a relax (unless a fishie comes along!!!)

So far a great spot ive been happy with is the Woody Point Jetty.

Any other ideas?

Mate there are a few spots around.You got the sandgate pier,the horneybrooke bridge,the flats there at low tide,you got the pine river bridge park on the highway and walk under it,you got cabatree creek there and the small pier there.There are other around mate but thats jsut some.Good luck.

It actually improves the fishing just dont drink the water or eat the fish's guts.

Try walking some of the flats on the run out tide flicking plastics in to the drains and channels etc. Should score yourself a flattie or two as well as giving the dog some exercise!

Mate theres a few good spots around Shorncliffe at the moment for bream and whiting.. Only on the run up tide but.. message me if your keen on any. Ive had some mad sessions lately.

The summer whiting should be in and around margate beach at Redcliffe by now.If your into a whiting session take a couple of rods down there set yourself up on the incoming tide.Worms would be your better bait to use.

?? what algae, creek is pretty clean at the moment, had a nice flush after the storms last week.

Hi Mate,

I am a newbie. Went fishing yesterday to shorncliffe and then headed to redcliffe. The old bridge. Didnt catch any and I was told that I had the wrong bait. I had pilchard and squid on. Also tried some SPs. I was bream fishing. Any help is appreciated.
