Dad and I will be more than likely hitting the canals at sparos fart sunday morning. I will be on my yak and dad will be on his maiden voyage with his canoe, hopefully he will stay afloat :dry: . All are welcome to join.

We haven't decided where to go just yet, maybe cleveland area. Any suggestions?

Can't join you, got the ABT round at Redcliffe this weekend. How about the Horizon Shores canals? Never had a dud summer session there yet. Just make sure you are on the water at sun up to take full advantage of the surface bite.

Definitely not the weekend weather we have been getting lately! Glad it won't be blasting from the north like the last couple of weeks. Should be nice out on the water no matter where you go. My plan is to anchor up in some boaties burley trail and drift small plastics down and pull in a bag of bream before the weather gets too ho t

OK so tomorow dad and I will be heading up to cleveland for a flick around the canal. Launch spot will be the park at the end of Commodore dr/Marypleasant dr. The plan is to chase some flatties along the sand flats and drop off into the mouth of the canal then head in to chase bream and cod and what ever else is swimming around. Hopefully I will get the cod that were playing games with me last time. Anyone keen!

Too soft to launch from the ramp?

Which ramp is to soft? We are launching at the park on the sandy beach thats only a few metres wide.

I mean you are too soft! Scared of a bit of swell, so launching closer to the canal enterance. Then again Peters paddle fitness will be low, so when the battery goes flat you can tow him back.
