mate there is heaps depending on what your budget is, sx40's, px45's sammy65s, bubble cranks, jackall chubbies, the list just goes on and on. also a variety of 2-3 inch plastics with light jig heads. the best thing if new to the scene would be to pop into a place like tackle warehouse and tell them what your wanting to target and your price range and they will usually steer you in the right direction.

cheers

for cheaper ones, go atomic or halco scorpions

and for plastics, 2" shrimp, 3" prong both work well, just slowly reel with pauses and lifts

yeh for a great cheap lure, it's hard to go past the 40mm Gold/Black Halco Laser Pro. Flatties absolutely love 'em!

Also the River2Sea Static shad (40mm) in the Orange colour...sensational.

As far as hard boodies go though, in my mind the gun bream/estuary lures are Sx40 pattern 307 and the Jackal chubby in Salmon Roe.

Actually i was trolling an SX48 307 at the mouth of tingalpa creek the other day, in tandem with a Stiffys minnow on the portside...the 307 went 5-zip before the Stiffy got a fish onboard...
