Could i ask what your sounder shows as the voltage output of the battery when the motor is started and running. when i changed batteries the output went from 15.2volts on the old batery to 12.9 volts on the new battery. Also the guy that connected it intially put the wires on backwards positive to negative........I nearly had a hard attack when i saw him do it he reckons no drama it just blew the fuse... Anything i should look for ???????? what a professional!!!!!!!!!

yep thats what the fuse is there for. Its very unlikely any damage was done cause the fuse saved it. Its a very easy mistake to make, ive seen many a professional accidently put the polarity on the wrong way. In fact ive done it myself many a time.turn the sounder on before you start the motor. Check the battery voltage. Turn motor on check the voltage. What it the difference.

Start the motor and disconnect the battery. use a multimetre to check the motor output voltage.
