Tackle Outlet store Knobel Street

Hi there everyone. Went to the tackle outlet store in 1/11 Knobel Court Shailer Park. The two staff members there were very helpfull and informative. They had some real nice fishing rods there and at great prices. It is well worth your while to go down and have a look as you can pick up some good stuff. Ended up walking out with a Team Daiwa saltwater 661 mhfs spin rod and two damiki vault lures. Needless to say I got myself into the wifes bad books . Could anyone also give me some advice on a reel that would be good to match with the rod I have bought. I will be using it as a soft plastic, hard body lure rod.

Thanks for the reply mate I will have a look at them. The bloke at the outlet store said they do get soft plastic spin reels in now and then. Will be going back there now and then to see what other stock they get in.

how much do you want to spend on a reel to match the rod? that's your key limiter really.... dont forget to factor the cost of braid into your budget as well....

Mate if I could find a good reel and when I can afford it. I will probably look at spending anywhere from $100 to $200. Thats assuming one can find a good reel at a price in that range. Also want a reel that will be capable of stopping a decent size snapper if I am fortunate enough to hook one

Tierra might be just outside the budget. At the other end of your price range, you should be able to pick up a Daiwa Cy for about $120. Good reliable reel that will handle most of what you are asking at an affordable price.

Just been reading a fishing mag I have and there is a small add about Silstar Legacy reels. Has anyone used them or seen them being used. I will also take a look at the Daiwa cy.
