queensland "Yakkin" Over Brays and Beyond - Wednesday 13th

Myself, Tom and a few of the guys from KFDU are chasing a few more snapper on Wednesday, leaving the ramp between 5 & 5:30. If you can stay upright (unlike Feral) and you can handle your yak then feel free to tag along.

We were fishing during a severe weather warning off Brays and on the way back in, I safely made it onto the ramp then Henry Rode the next wave in and I received a profish enema and ended up off the ramp in the rocks.

Very memorable day out, 3-4 metre swells and no fish for either of us, and I think Terry caught 1 snapper and Biggles and Lee hid under their doonas and were no-shows.

haha.. yeah mate I was honestly super concerned when it happened. It was definitely one of those slow-mo moments where I was at the mercy of a wave... in retrospect, I'd say to anyone else... don't attempt that launch in that weather without a lifejacket.. I was dumb enough to do it, lucky enough to have not tipped over at all.

I remember watching that Blinker rocking side to side, and water going up really high on it..

It was that stage I'm like "Damn, I always thought that was a solid pole all the way down" :laugh:

Either that or the sheer angle of each swell made my head go nuts...
