Real or fake?Ihe pic on the lefet and top right is the picture of the supposed croc that was snapped near Hope Island and the bottom right pic is a pic of a real croc as a comparison. My personal gut feeling is its a fake but I am no expert....any thoughts?

Fake i reckon, the first pic looks like a turtle to me honestly, the second photo obviously looks like a stick to me but thats just my opinion.

everyone knows about the 4m saltie shot in the logan in 1903 so i don't think it's impossible.

y'know.. i'm not gonna rule this out as a fake.

If it wasn't for this whole online communications era I'd have been very hard pressed to believe in big barra in the Bris river....

Why is it completely unrealistic for a croc to be down there? There will be quite a few "I told you so's" if the croc takes a pet in the canals.

not many people will believe in brizzy crocs and even when some one eventually catches one people will just say they rigged it .

my personal belief is theres more chance a large croc could swim down from up north than any grow up here .but theres allways a chance of a home hobyist releaseing a young one

there was one running around new beith (behind greenbank) last year that was a unlicensed pet that got to big to handle lol. i dont know if fake or real i know i would put a log in the water if a saw one though.

they've been here before 1 of the largest crocs ever shot in australia was shot in the logan river during a flood early last century with this story who knows just watch where u take a dip. lol :ohmy:

The croc that was said to be caught by camera was only estimated to be about 1 metre long. So if fair dinkum more than likely a discarded pet that was maybe getting a little to big to handle easily.
