Carp Fishing

I am traveling to Brisbane in a few weeks and was wondering where can i go Carp fishing in Brisbane?

I live in the UK and go Carp fish here and in Europe for 20+ years. I have heard that Carp fishing isn't allowed and that if they are caught you will have to kill them

Is this true? Every other country i know they are caught for pleasure and put back

If anyone knows any info then please point me in the right direction

You can fish for them all you like, but they are classed as a pest here, and when you catch them you must kill them and dispose of the body away from the water.

Most of the rivers on the south side of brisbane are infested with them.
