Would any be keen to do a morning kayak sesion on tuesday, Australia day? Doesn't matter where, just somewhere on our Aussie water ways

I was thinking of a pre sunrise cod hunt at wello and off the water before the tools get out of bed and to the ramp

Launch at wello point (accross from king is?) how far out? time? Looking good but 5 to 10 knots.

about 4am and off the water by7am. The boats will be out in force by then and the fish will shut down. I got run over there last australia day by a tinnie. Next time I stab the skipper

Yeah watch the wind, it was supposed to be no more than about 7 or 8 knots today, It was blowy and easy up to 15 to 20 at NPD by the time we knocked off today.

Yeah I am thinking of trying a more sheltered spot instead, just can't decide where. Also where there will be LESS boat traffic.

wind 8knts and dropping out of the north.... i'll take those odds...

wello Point, launch approx 0400-0415. if it's too sloppy on the open side, might hook around to the sheltered side and over towards tingalpa creek-ish.....

most of the cod I've seen have spots down the flanks :silly:
