... well Saterday saw me launch at Redland Bay for the first time ... bright and early, no hastles at all with parking and launching, great. We toddled off not knowing the area or where we were headed and followed a couple of tinnies out. Came across some huge turtles doing what turtles do so we just drifted around and watched them for a while. Tried on the bottom at a 'hole' about 45ft deep and caught some small stuff. Boredom set in and we migrated towards the mouth ... fiddled and farted around drifting over shallow structures with prawn and pillies ... a couple of little ones but nothing exciting *SIGH* ... my son hooked up to a small bream and was just about to land the little bugger when a small Johnny (shark) showed interest ... tried using live bream on a float about 8ft below the surface next to a drop off ... no luck ... Aaaaaaargh. Great day was had by all, what a beautiful part of the World. I will deffinately be back, hopefully to try for shark ... :woohoo:
