Thought I'd add this little tacker onto this thread considering the calibre...

New PB - 111cm GH. Ate a half shredded headless biddy fishing for Jacks - took off and didn't stop. At 150m with only 20m of backing left I jumped in fully clothed and swam 50m into the river after it, it arched so I did survival backstroke back to shore, tore off my jacket pants and shoes, it took off again and again I swam 50m after it then it turned and did survival backstroke back to shore then proceeded to stand and bang with it in waist deep water in the middle of the night in the PITCH black before I tamed it for a photo.. Won't lie, the thought of a bully attack DEFINATELY came to mind. Took a further 10 mins of swimming to get it going again and then swam off strong..

The big ones are hard enough to keep up with in the boat great effort landbased.
