I am looking to take my son fishing from the shore..... what (and more importantly where)should we be fishing in the next month or so? Thanks guys.

A good place to start would be the southport seaway rock wall. Bethania boat ramp on the Logan R. is good fun for bull sharks.

I see you're at Carindale. You could try for bream off the jetties at Colmslie or Manly.

Also, check out the 'teach a kid to fish' group (under Community > Groups in the main menu) for a list of family-friendly fishing spots around Brisbane.

Hey Mate,

I have had a bit of luck down at Bulimba Yacht Club. It is a very family-friendly spot. If you fish it a couple of hours after the high tide, things are normally on the chew. It is located at the end of Quay street, which is off Oxford street. Very easy to find on Google Maps and the like.
