I've bought two hobies recently and ended up getting rid of the yellow one to buy the tarpon.

Will be actively plugging sponsors who get advertising space on the kayak proportional to the free gear they give me :P

I love the love the colour of the Tarpon. Is it a 120? Is it actually Matt black or just a camo in a funny light?

It's a T120 in Camo. I have a screw ball for a rod holder, best feature ever. Thanks for the link though, some good prices there. Can't see why more kayaks do an intergrated design like that. Great yak, there's been a lot of thought into the design and I'm happy with it.

Grabbed a hand full of Berkley 3d poppers and a handful of Atomic Hardz 40's last night. Put them in the console of the car. Wife thought it would be better to move them to the bag on the back seat after saying leave them there.

Get home and cant find them. Wife replies oh well they must of fallen out when I got my singlet out. They're only lures anyway.

If I could back and do it again Id happily get married again NOT!

Plenty have already seen my new acquisition on Facebook but I thought I'd throw it up here as well. I picked it up for less than you'd pay for a new inferior quality Chinese yak on one of the forums. For those looking for a good quality yak on a budget, don't be afraid to buy second hand, you might be surprised what you come across :)

Hi guys. I feel that I owe this thread a post so here goes.

Been bingeing lately around the sunny coast tackle stores and as always keeping my eye open for second hand bargains.

First I managed to snag a brand new 4500 Baitrunner for 90 bucks posted.

Now dont get me wrong there's a few nice baitrunners being made by shimano and penn but IMO there's nothing like the old shimano B series.

Tool a week to arrive and had me wondering but as usuall the fishing community is generally a trustworthy one when buying from sellers from other states.

This one will come in handy for some heavier offshore work.

Secondly I picked up a tournament specialist bream from Hooked on Angling in Tewantin in their big sale saturday just gone and a mate of mine gave me a spool of 3lb snider fluro to complete my newest and lightest combo to date.

Lastly and most importantly I had been having Some trouble with my sas braid in the 30lb so emailed the guys at sas and they very kindly decided to replace both the spools I bought recently. 8lb and 30lb.

I sent back the old braid to them to test. The new stuff arrived and I spooled up my sold ready for bass season.

Thats it until next week :)

Hi all, I've still been a little to busy to get out for any serious fishing sessions. Only really had time for a few quick land based flicks to keep the insanity away :S .

I have found time to purchase a few new toys though and I'm really looking forward to getting the new yak set up once the mounting gear arrives.

On the subject of buying stuff, I got a go pro 4 black today..... Never really looked at them before but now I've got it home and got the app going. Wow. Looks a good thing. No idea how to use it or what the little bracket things do and the instruction manual is printed in tiny writing and really, who can be bothered?

Be prepared to see my mug in ultra hd soon fellas xx

haha looking forward to seeing some videos. They are a bit annoying at the start but once you get the hang of them they're great! It helps to have a few good mounts too. I'm not someone who likes to read instructions either but there's plenty of videos on youtube that are pretty helpful.

Got a new outfit from my local bcf..

Kato cobalt 6'6 1-3kg spin rod

Shakespeare tidewater 2000 spin reel

Berkley vanish 4lb fluoro line

$200.00 outfit for $100.00, dont mind the bcf stocktake sale at all i must say!

The outfit feels pretty darn nice in hand too and the rod is suprising good for the $85.99rrp tag, feels better than mexican fire raider rods priced at $119.00.
