Went out saturday night with a mate and worked our way up from fisho's to the river mouth. worked a few of the wharves with a bit of success. Got a nice cod 55cm and a just legal squire. drifted a nice looking drop off in between wharves and got the reel screaming. after a few nice head thumps up come a 57cm pinky. Continued on up to another of our spots and my mates pulls in another nice grunter going 55cm. I got another cod going just over 40cm so we called it a night and headed back with a nice feed.

We have pulled some nice fish out of the river in the last week or so. 7 grunters all 51-71cm, 4 cod 40-58cm, and finally got onto the pinkys with the my pb of 57cm on sat night.

yeah nothing wrong with a fresh bit of cod. but grunter would have to be one of the best fish i have eatin.

man you'll have a hard time convincing me away from the cod, i picked it over fresh largemouth nannygai, mmmmmmmm cod :cheer: :cheer:

That was a nice catch of grunter last post, only ever get 1 or 2 in a session and rarely, might have to try the pillys been a while since I have baitfished.

Dont kill many fish myself but I am with you on the cod Dan legal to 55 cm very nice the grunter are not to bad though.

Cod are good on the fang,but il have a good feed of grunter any day over cod..
