Fishing Tonight. advice please

Heading to the goldie around sixish tonight. Thinking of trying a couple of dead end canals near Commodore Dr, theory being that the fish may hold up in stiller water cos of the strong currents with the big tides today. Is this theory sound or should we hit closer to the broadie for some trevally?

i prefer open canals to be honest, on a big tide more bait is pushed through the system and bridge pylons etc provide the preds something to hide behind and ambush the bait

I think I might have a quick flick after work tonight around that area aswell. Hopefully some trevs want to play on the surface.
