my bad about the Wynnum creek spelling. but i have my usual spots but they only work on certain days. like we went out at midday low tide and we caught 14 fish bream, sweetlip and some squire all legal and then we went out the next day and caught nothing so yeah its bit weird.

Hahaha Thats what fishings all about if ya havn't figured it out yet. :) so you know your spot produces well on a low tide but what were the tides at the time-high highs or low highs high lows minnimal current movement or what?try to choose the day that replicates the conditions that make your spot fire every time instead of just randomly going out with a bag full of hope.start putting a bit of thought into your fishing mate and you will see your species list grow.

hey

it was an incoming tide from low to high

every time i go there i at least catch 4 legal sized fish. but our friends went out and caught a 89cm cobia, 56cm sweet lip and a 45cm snapper. i went out the next day and caught nothing like that. but the ROCK as i call it (its a big quartz covered rock with little rocks around it) but yeah there are marks on trees and stuff like that which hard to find so im going to get a GPS and put the marks on it. I'm also going to plan my trips from now on thanks for that mick.

Where is this rock you speak of?

I want in!!

Ahahaha.

I've left form Weinam a few times, but only reall fished the flats and the mouth of the river down a bit further.

I've seen lots of people going for prawns at the power lines every time I've been out.

well mate if your out there that weekend look out for a tinny over at garden.

I should be heading off victoria point/redland bay sunday morning so youll prob see me and a mate around a few of my spots in the bay in a little tinny. another good option to get onto some better fish is head into moogurapum creek on the higher tide and get a few mullet/prawns in the cast net and use them as livies in the deeper holes and drop offs.
